2008 in a view

Brenden and his friend showing their "GUNS" off!
In April Brenden was in the pine wood derby. This coming yr is his last time,
mine to, no more little boys. Bren is wearing the beany.

At the end of March Hailey had oral surgery at Primary Childrens in SLC. Poor Baby!!

Howard and I went on our traditional anniversary weekend away. We went to a cabin out by Eugene, Oregon. It was good to get away we did take Hailey and Abagail with us.

In Feb my grandfather Bill McKay passed away.

Bren's Music

Brenden is also in the 5th grade band. They played at the Christmas concert. He has a red clarinet, it's his favorite color. Everyone in town just loves it!
I love that he
"plays to his own tune"
and is not a follower!!
Way to go Bren!!

Brenden's Program

Brenden had his 5th grade Christmas program on Friday. He did very well. I love the things they do in this great small town. The town programs even have an opening and closing prayer. The schools even teach "Jesus is the Reason for the Season". I love it. Our town has about 6,000 people. Everyone knows just about everyone. There are tons of churchs and 3 LDS wards. Brenden loves to wear his suit to these things. What a gentleman! (he's in the front by all the girls)

Our Sweet Angels

Here's a picture of the "ours" in the yours, mine, and ours group. In case you haven't talked to me forever here's a quick update. David and I had 2 boys together Tyler, 13 and Brenden, 10. After 8 yrs of being married we divorced. Guess that's what happens with no communication. Any way........... I met Howard online and we married 3 months later. He had 5 children with his first wife who died of cancer at the age of 33 with children from 11 yrs old to 18 months old. We felt very strongly that we were supposed to marry. I literally had to ask him his last name so I would know what mine would be because I knew I was supposed to marry him before I even knew his full name. We didn't love each other maddy when we become married but we followed the spirit. Don't get me wrong we did and still do love each other dearly. When things of combining two families gets insane that's what we remind ourselves of. You know 2nd marriages have a 85% of divorce rate. We are coming on 5 years now and we are more in love as everyday goes by. By the way Howard is a "mailman" and raises Registered Angus. I am still not used to the country life style. The first time he told me he had a "semen tank" I honestly thought that he had his semen stored out in the barn. I thought I was going to DIE!! Turns out (after he laughed for about 20 minutes) that it was the bulls semen!
Thank Goodness!!!!

My Birthday

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes on my Birthday. I had a great day! A good friend of mine here called me in the morning and wanted to go shopping and out to lunch. What could be better? Well, then Howard was sweet and took the girls (to a cattle auction). When the kids came home from school we made room and put up our tree.....I know ......I know finally! Then Brenden and Howard made me a cake, the older kids went to mutual and I took off for a dinner meeting. I am the enrichment day leader in my ward so I had to go tell the presidency what I came up with for the year. I am wanting to do things that don't cost so those struggling can still feel welcome. So came home and had cake. Howard gave me a hard time about him not getting a permit for burning (cause of the candles). Abby and Hailey blew them out for me. It was so cute. Hailey is so very into the whole b-day thing. She was pretty stoked about mine.
